Playful, Happy Edit
This was my first edit. I added yellow hues and saturated the colour to create a bright and playful mood. I also added light leaks to the sides to create the feel of a photograph taken on film. Film photographs remind me of taking photos in my childhood and I wanted to create a childish and playful mood. I also added a focal point blur to add focus to the swings.
Old, Grungy and Creepy Edit
This is my second edit. To start with, I desaturated the photo to make it black and white. I feel that this creates an old and aged feel to the image. Next I added a sepia (brownish) tone to the image to create a grungier feel. After that i added a diagonal vignette (the blackened corners) and a textured overlay to add a creepier feel to the photo. I also added a linear blur to the top and bottom of the image to enhance the aged feel of the photo.
I wanted the third edit to appear as though it was in a dream. First I brightened up the image and lowered the contrast. This creates a light and bright feel to the photo. Next, I added a fuschia tone to the image to add to the dreaminess. After that I added a bokeh overlay (the bubbles of light that are created in the blurred portion of an image). To finish it off and add to the brightness I added a large lens flare coming from the top of the image. To me, dreams are bright and sunny and full of colorful pastels. This is what I was going for in this edit.
